Our Services

Tutoring services are delivered on a one-to-one ratio or small

group, depending upon the needs of the student. Students are

assigned to tutors with the needed unique skills and knowledge.

Each tutor prepares an educational plan. Each plan is as

unique as each student. Some students will accomplish their

learning objectives with once a week tutoring, while others

require tutoring more often.

Our tutors work with students from pre-K to adults in a variety of subject areas.

Reading Remediation: Students will not only learn how to read, but also to remember and understand what is read. Questions relating to predicting outcomes, inferences and drawing conclusions are interjected into each assignment. Tell backs are used to reinforce sequencing skills and summarizing

Math Remediation: A variety of mathematical problems are incorporated into each assignment to enable the student to learn and understand the concepts. Pre-knowledge math skills that are missing are taught to each student

Test Preparation Skills: Whether you are preparing to take the Iowa Test of Basic Skills, GED, GRE, SAT or ACT, our tutors can help. Each section is practiced and reviewed. Test taking strategies are taught, practiced and reinforced consistently throughout this program

Study Skills: Students receive a study skill and note

taking packet. This information helps the student to

identify and apply his or her own learning style to

homework assignments.
